Purpose

The personal information provided to us via the form on the contact page of www.linguam.org (hereinafter “Website”) will be incorporated into a data file owned by FUNDACION LINGUAM (hereinafter LINGUAM) and will be maintained by the same.

The purpose of this file is to manage LINGUAM’ relationship with the users of the Website and to provide them with the information that they request.

The information provided in data collection forms is voluntary. Nonetheless, if it is not provided, we will not be able to provide a service. It is your responsibility to keep your information up-to-date so that it remains accurate. Any false or inaccurate statement produced as a consequence of the data provided, as well as the damages that such information could cause LINGUAM, is the responsibility of the user

The personal information provided will be kept so long as its deletion is not requested for up to 6 years.

LINGUAM will only give access to your personal information to those employees and trustees that require it due to the activities they carry out as part of the contractual relationships. Likewise, your personal information will be transferred, by international data transfers by LINGUAM, to the Universities that promote our programs or entities or professional collaborators that provide services for these programs, with which LINGUAM has signed a corresponding personal information processing agreement.

Rights

All users have the right to obtain confirmation of whether LINGUAM is processing personal information that concerns them.

Those interested in doing so have the right to access their personal information, as well as to request the rectification of inaccurate information, or, when applicable, to request its deletion when, among other reasons, this information is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Under certain circumstances, the parties in question will be permitted to request the restriction of the processing of their personal information, in which case this information will only be conserved in order to exercise or defend any claim.

Under certain circumstances, and for reasons related to their particular situation, the parties in question will be permitted to oppose the processing of their personal information. LINGUAM will cease to process information, except in the case there are compelling legitimate grounds, or for defending against potential claims.

Users can exercise the aforementioned rights at any time by sending a written request to the following email address: data@linguam.org. In order to process the request, it will be necessary to verify the user’s identity. Therefore, this written request must include the user’s full name, the petition in which the request is stated, address for the purpose of notifications, date, signature, and a photocopy of an ID card or other valid identification document. The exercise of these rights will by no means affect access to the webpage.

Protection of the personal information of minors

LINGUAM does not foresee processing the personal information of minors. Under all circumstances, the collection of personal information from minors will only be permitted in cases in which the minors are over the age of 14 and grant their express consent. Under this age, they must have the authorization of their parents or legal guardians.

Modification of the Privacy Policy

LINGUAM is permitted to modify the present Privacy Policy at any time, and publish this in successive versions on the Website. Under all circumstances, LINGUAM will provide prior notice of the modifications to the present policy that affect users so that they are able to accept these modifications.
